Lines to Heaven

time strikes between one and two like rhythm and blues
a reminder to life, days are unfolding through
we need to taste each moment like there's no more tomorrow;
that's what it means, maybe, to me and to others too

the billowing waves kneel before the rocks - ruins of fortress, remains of the past
in the enormous silver and golden beauty of the sky, emotions where casts
filters of bladed ray from up high carefully fading
embracing the tides, temperature has risen

alone in the dark, wrapped by winds
listening to the whispers and tender laughter of passers
mind's travelling - another journey, novel, new phase
over the misty mountains confronting my mind

a comfy warm breeze joyfully blows over my entire humanity.
free, at last, to proclaim under the wondrous midnight blue sea.
i reached my peak, im mightier than anybody
no more turning-backs the golden sun is rising

born to freedom, i'm bare with open arms. /written by reymund b. flores. copyright 2011
